National Children's Hospital in coordination with Give A Life Foundation

Kaye and I arrived at McDonald's around 830am to pay for our Happy Meals to be delivered to the hospital and to give the candies to be included in each toy. Then I spoke with the Social Worker of NCH and told us that we can only go up to the activity area at around 10am.

Pau, Coro, Chi and Chard arrived at 9am then nagbreakfast muna.. pinag tripan muna nila ung nagtitinda ng balisong sa labas ng jollibee... hehe

At around 10am, isa isa nang dumating ung mga may tickets na patients. Most of the patients present are those with leukemia and one of them even has a rare case which manifested through her skin na... There's this kid.. his name is Jake pero pinangalanan nilang Kenji at piangpasa pasahan nilang tatlong lalaki... hehehe at lage nang sumasama kay Pau...

As usual, Kuya Clown did his thing at infairness,, tuwang tuwa si Chie at tawa ng tawa sa likuran.. hehe Happy Meals were served for the said event... at nakakaawa naman ung delivery boy kasi inakyat nya ang 6th floor na may bitbit kasi sira ang elevator...wawa naman..

Each kid received a bag containing magic slate, coloring/drawing book, crayons, pencils, and a number of toys. May mga sumobra pa so we were given a chance to visit the Hema ward.. sila ung ibang bata di nakasama sa program kasi its either may scheduled chemotherapy sila, or may appointment sa doctor.

It was yet again a fun day for all of us especially when you see that these children enjoyed whatever we prepared for them. It was also nice to note that these kids have a very good disposition in life. There's this one kid, Angel, she finished her third cycle of chemo so her hair is starting to grow and she said to Kaye, " Alam mo Ate, malapit na ako gumaling, tingnan mo tumutubo na buhok ko.. at hahaba na ang buhok ko.."

I hope we were able to make these kids happy during our short interaction with them. These kids deserve a healthy and normal childhood instead of being confined in the four corners of the hospital so let's pray for them that they may get well so they can enjoy their younger years. =)
